Jessica & Jonathan Carroll JESSICA & JONATHAN CARROLL

Jessica Carroll has over 10 years in the Cosplay and Convention community. At 25, she works as a full time seamstress for the costuming community as well as a model. She has gained noticeable attention as a Harley Quinn impersonator at several Florida Conventions. Jessica takes it upon herself to ensure the quality of the work she and Jonathan produce, overseeing all facets of it from performance to panel material.

Specialities include: Wig knowledge, based on her training as a Cosmetologist and self trained experience, make-up artistry, special fx makeup, and character profiling, running ones own cosplaying business (backed with business degree), as well as psychology and sociology of cosplayers and the community (again backed with schooling and currently in school for degrees in both fields).

Jessica has appeared in print and online, and has been interviewed for everything from Cosplayer of the Month to Goth Girl of the Week. Also a writer, she plans to tour with her novel in late 2014. Jessica also appeared as co-host on the internet radio show Just Push Play, which deals heavily with all things north of center pop culture. Film credits include short horror film with Scruffy Ruffian Productions (now Caisson Films) , Slip of the Tongue. Also their film Zombians, still in pre production, is slated to cast both Jessica and Jonathan Carroll.

Jessica has also been a hired comic book model for Jim Balent and his book Tarot.

Jessica and Jonathan currently work on, and created, the new podcast Nerdy Little Secret covering the latest in geekdom as well as conventions and the big issues that cosplayers face when enjoying their hobby.

Jonathan Carroll (aka The Monkey of Steel) attended his first convention at 16, cosplaying as Goku from Dragonball Z. Superboy was his next Cosplay, and then did his first superman. It was Superboy that opened the flood gate to other conventions spanning from those in GA, FL, and MA. With 11 years in the cosplaying world, Jonathan has encountered and continues on good terms with many of the high ranking cosplayers in the industry such as Yaya Han. Most recognized for his fitting physique and manner, Jonathan is one of the most noticed Superman cosplayers in the genre. He portrayed Superman at John Williams Tribute in North Carolina.

Jonathan has also done charity work, including local events, handing out presents as Superman, and attending hospitals with a group of cosplayers to visit children in various care units. He currently works as both Superman and Batman with Heroes Alliance Georgia.

He also has spent time modeling, viewable in print for Museum Replicas as Altair from Assassins Creed and Conan the Barbarian in the King Conan Armor from the Comic and Video Game. His latest appearance with Museum Replicas from 2011 featured him on the cover with the company’s new Spartacus inspired line. He also acted in Sons of God directed by Stephen Gilliam where he enjoyed top billing as the main protagonist of the story as well as the fight director.

In addition, Jonathan has his own comic book character. Jonathan Carroll is the namesake for the newest love interest of Lois Lane in the Superman 52 Reboot. Jonathan also modeled for the cover of Last Family of Krypton issue 3.
